Dr. Matt Bryant
A 2004 graduate of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Bryant pursued a companion animal practice in eastern Tennessee for over 10 years where most of his attention was directed towards family pets. As his young household grew Dr. Bryant and his wife Cassidy desired to move closer to their families, so in the spring of 2015 they started Cleveland Animal Hospital. Dr. Bryant looks to pay tribute to a well-known facility while modernizing the location to meet the medical needs of the community's pets. Dr. Bryant's practice interests include preventive medicine, in-depth disease management and non referral surgery. During his free time, Dr. Bryant enjoys spending time with his wife Cassidy and their two daughters Madelyn and Olivia along their two dogs Lily and J.B. Dr. Bryant is also an avid motorcyclist so he is always looking for a new road to travel.
Dr. Ruffin Hutchison
A life-long Cleveland County resident, Dr. Hutchison is a 2018 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, and joined our practice in the Fall of 2019. He has an interest in animal behavior, pain management and rehabilitation in arthritis and orthopedic injuries, ultrasonography, and non-referral internal medicine cases. While Dr. Hutchison loves all creatures great and small, the big fluffy dogs hold a soft spot in his heart. When he isn’t working at the clinic, Dr. Hutchison acts as a consultant for cattle farms in the Southeast and helps to run his family’s cattle farm. (We also think he is a part-time comedian, or at least he believes he is!) He also enjoys spending time with his wife Kate, who is a talented baker and cake chef, and with his two Bernese Mountain Dogs Deacon and Rocky. We are so happy to have Dr. Hutchison here!
Cassie grew up in Kings Mountain where she graduated Kings Mountain High School. She has been working with the public for over 15 years and has always had a soft spot for animals. Cassie is kind person who will do anything for anyone. Cassie is married and has a daughter. She also has six fur babies, 4 cats and 2 dogs. While away from work, Cassie enjoys bonfires, weekends at the lake, and spending time with her family and friends.
Lead Client Care Coordinator
Mary Kathryn grew up in Kings Mountain where she graduated from Kings Mountain High School. She has been in the Veterinary Field for many years. She joined the CAH family in 2019, and has given her all since day one. Mary Kathryn is one of the most kind, tender hearted and caring person you will ever meet! She is a boss at multi-tasking and will be the first to help anyone. She is the voice for our clients and will go above and beyond for each and every one. Mary Kathryn is married and has 3 dogs and 3 cats. She loves all animals and truly enjoys servicing the community she grew up in. Mary Kathryn is full of knowledge and loves to pass it along!
Cassidy N. Bryant, MPH
With a longstanding history of public service ranging from senior care to mental health improvement, Cassidy has made a primary objective of providing for those in need. To emphasize further, she obtained a Masters of Public Health with desires of employing her skills in a new and exciting ways. In her position as practice manager for Cleveland Animal Hospital, Cassidy certainly fills a vital role serving both as an administrator and a patient care coordinator. As a mother of two, Cassidy no doubt keeps a busy schedule, but in her down time she enjoys reading, cooking and being with family.
Ashlyn graduated Ashworth College with her Veterinary Assistant Certificate. She has always had a passion for caring for animals. Ashlyn is a great asset to CAH since 2018. She is passionate about her job and making sure things run efficiently. Ashlyn is very knowledgeable about the day to day operations and makes sure to spread that knowledge to others when she can. Ashlyn is good at bringing laughter with her witty comments and sarcasm. Ashlyn is married, has 2 daughters, and currently has 1 dog and 1 cat. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Client Care Coordinator
Savannah graduated from Bessemer City High School and is currently studying radiology at Cleveland Community College. She joined the CAH family in 2020. We have watched her grow and couldn't be more proud of her. She is a fast learner with a bright future ahead. Savannah is a huge animal lover and is compassionate about the work she does. She enjoys educating our clients while loving their babies! Savannah has 5 dogs. She has a passion for working with animals and their owners, softball, and spending time with family and friends.
Jordan grew up in Kings Mountain where she graduated from Kings Mountain High School. She has worked with the public for many years. Jordan joined the CAH family in 2020. She is full of compassion and gives her all everyday. She enjoys building relationships with our clients and loving their babies while doing so! We love having Jordan here, as she can brighten anyone's day. She has always had a love and passion for animals and their wellbeing. Jordan is in the process of becoming a Certified Veterinary Assistant. Jordan has 1 dog and 3 cats. Her favorite past times include reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Jordan has a very outgoing personality and loves everyone!
Rachel has been a wonderful blessing to our CAH family. She has extensive knowledge of Veterinary Medicine with advance training in the field. Rachel began her career in Colorado, where she obtained her Veterinary Technician Degree from Bel-Rea Institute of Technology in 2011. She has worked at several practices ranging from General Practice to Emergency Medicine over the last 10 years. Rachel loves to teach! Whether it be providing our clients with the appropriate knowledge to care for their pets, or teaching her co-workers new things to advance their knowledge, she does her best to help everyone excel. Rachel has 2 King Charles Spaniels and enjoys hiking, fishing, camping and painting.
Client Care Coordinator/ Veterinary Assistant
Chasity grew up in Kings Mountain where she graduated from Kings Mountain High School. She has worked with the public for 8 years, but joined CAH in 2020. Chasity is able to flip roles at the drop of a dime and we are grateful for her willingness to do so. She is a team player and will do anything for anyone without thinking twice. Chasity is a huge animal lover and it shows with the compassion she gives everyday at CAH. She is full of laughter and can put a smile on anyone's face. Chasity has always had a love and passion for animals. She has 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a macaw. She is married and a mother of 3 children. Her favorite past times are enjoying the outdoors with her family, cookouts with friends, and teaching the children's drama/music team at her church with her sister.
Sarah graduated from York Comprehensive High School and is now a senior at Limestone University with plans to become a Veterinarian. She became a part of the CAH family in 2020. We are so proud of the hard worker that Sarah is, and look forward to watching her grow! Sarah has always had an interest in animal health and will make a great Doctor of Veterinary Medicine some day! Sarah is a team player, and is always willing to lend a hand. She keeps us laughing at all times. Sarah has 3 dogs, a cat, and a horse. Her favorite past times are riding horses, soccer, and spending time with family and friends.
Heather is a huge asset to our CAH family and we are so grateful to have her. She found her passion for small animal care while volunteering at her local veterinary clinic in Fullerton, CA at the age of 13. Since then she has continued working with small animals in Veterinary Medicine. Heather graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA with a bachelors in Animal Science. Heather moved to NC in 2012 and continued working in the veterinary field. She has extensive knowledge of Veterinary Medicine and uses that to properly guide pet owners in caring for their loved ones. Heather is married, with 2 boys. She also has 3 dogs, 2 goats, a pig and chickens!
